Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency
Region 4
Stream Management
Region IV has three hatcheries that produce trout for a variety of fisheries in streams, lakes, and tailwaters. Together, these facilities produce about 800,000 (42%) of the 1.9 million trout used to manage these fisheries in Region IV. The rest are provided by the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery in Celina, and to a lesser extent Flintville State Fish Hatchery and Erwin National Hatchery. Additionally, Eagle Bend Hatchery has been producing fingerling trout for the Norris tailwater since 2002. All seven of the hatcheries producing trout in Tennessee contribute in part to Region IV trout fisheries.
The three Region IV trout hatcheries are operated and maintained by 11 full time employees, three hatchery managers and eight technicians. To view information about a specific hatchery click on a link above.
